HOW GREAT IS THIS GOD???
I got lost in thoughts, in the middle of a семинар on Ethics one day, at the sight of snowfall. As I beheld birds flying freely flapping their wings, soaring higher and higher, seeming to have no reason to feel cold, not to talk of wearing winter coats to shield them from the harshly cold weather. I asked myself why they never felt the cold, but all I could think of was that, it’s nothing but the splendid display of the awesomeness and diversity of God Almighty.
He who began the beginning, at the beginning of the world, but whose beginning can no one trace. He strategically laid out the earth’s scape, technically fashioned it and leaving it a wonder to man, as no one can ever see its end. He enriched it with all that man could ever ask or think of. As big as the earth seems to us, it’s just His footstool. He mapped out the heavens with His creative arts, and garnished it with the clouds and stars. Have you ever wondered how the heavens stand with no pillars supporting?
Science, they say, is the observation of material phenomena in the universe, and then applying our reason and logic to understanding and controling them. But no matter how logical and high we seem to understand, there can be no scientific proof for God, simply because God is not physical or material, He is spiritual and infinite. He defies logic and beats man's understanding, and of His understanding, no man can search. He, to whom the theories and laws of this earth don’t apply, as He, Himself is the founder of them all. Or how can one probably explain the fact that He walked on water, knowing fully well that His mass was more than that of the water? That defies Archimedes Principle! What explanation is there to give for His turning of five loaves of bread and two fishes into surplus, large enough to feed over five thousand people with twelve baskets of left over. That defies the Theory of Multiple Proportions! Who could give the proof for His turning water into wine without personal contact with the water? That spits in the eye of the Theory of Conservation of Matter! What theory is there to back up His using mud, (which is dirt) to make a blind man see. That defies the basic principles of Opthalmology and Therapeutic Medicine! Humus (or clay) should, naturally make the sight of the man got worse and not the other way round, let alone for His eyes to be opened. His deeds defy logics or human reasoning, because He, Himself is the origin of logics.
He was the first architect, He designed the earth’s structure!
He was the first fashion designer; He designed the first garment ever!
He was the first farmer, He planted the first farmyard!
He was the first electrician, He created light!
He was the first surgeon, He removed one of Adam’s ribs!
He was the creator of linguistics; at the scene of d building of the tower of Babel. He gave the people different kind of languages.
The greatness of God cannot be over-emphasized, quantified or expressed in mare writing, because the understanding of Him is too deep, too high, too wide, too complex for a mortal being to comprehend. He, who after the world seizes to exit, will remain. He who is seated in glory, guarded with praise, clothed with radiance of splendor and righteousness. How big is He?............How high is He?.............How awesome are His works?.......How great is this God???
