LOVE: Maybe you and I still need to do more ?

WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO KEEP THAT LOVE?

So many people come to church fellowship everyday, but some of us have no idea the kind of pain, hurt, unforgiveness, sickness, anger these people are battling with,of course we can't help them all but the question is what have we done to show our love to just only one person?

What have you done to keep that great friendship that you once shared with someone, have we taken it for granted? What have we done to return that amazing love that's so much been given to us,have we taken the love for granted? What have we done to keep that promise of love?

Are we always on the receiving side? It is so much nice, peaceful, good when we are on the receiving end but have we ever thought of giving out?Have we ever tried giving out love without us expecting anything back in return? How much have we sacrificed?

Let's think about this.. what have we done to keep the relationship between God and us,God has given and showered us with so much love but what have we done to show him we love him, have you ever returned his love,i mean unconditionally..Have we tried sacrificing anything to this our God? Is he getting back the love he has and he's still showing us?

Have we walked out on our friends, family, loved one just because we are not getting anything in return again(maybe that's when these people really needed us? Have we ever refused to forgive the mistake of a friend? How many times has God forgiven us?

How many times have we given to someone in need or or how many times have we picked up our phones to call a friend,a loved one or a family that needs to be encouraged? How many times have we shown Gods love to people? How many times has God shown us love?

What is our idea of GOD'S love . Someday we might be these people, we might be the one that needs to be shown love, that needs to be forgiven..

Let us learn to start doing those good things that we want people to do to us. The love has to start from the church. What have we done to keep our own part of the deal?

Akiyo ALUMA writes on The Bible

The Bible
Why read the Bible?
Why do I need the bible and yet I can get wisdom and guidance through books written by powerful and successful men?

The Bible is the word of God and the word is God Himself
The Bible is God’s presence, it is a friend; and a companion
The Bible is unconditional love; for God is love

The Bible is the truth that sets us free, God is true, His word is true. The Bible is an assurance of tomorrow, the hopes and promises from God.

The Bible is comfort, it gives us this stillness of the heart, peace and joy. The Bible is wisdom. It grants wisdom. The Bible gives us satisfaction and fills up the emptiness that is deep within us

The Bible is a compass. It directs our paths.
The Bible counsels, corrects and advises.

The Bible heals physical sicknesses and wounds,
It heals bitterness from the past and brokenness.
It makes us whole.

The Bible gives us peace of mind;
The Bible takes away our guilt; It lightens our burdens.
The Bible takes away our worries; it nails down fears.
It gives us a sound mind and a calm spirit.

The Bible is the book that was written once and never edited; only translated into different languages and versions for better understanding. The Bible is life and it is life in abundance!! Not reading the Bible throughout the week makes us weak.

TRUTHS about TALENTS with 'Dotun

Sometimes, our talents shoot us into fame and stardom; and like the disciples, we ask who is the greatest? Mark 9:33-34

We often get too carried away and lose sight of the most important things. This whole thing isn’t about our prominence at all. smh!

When God gives one disciple five talents, another two talents, and another one talent (Matthew 25:15), WE ASK WHY? But smh! He has His reasons. Very likely, they are different from what we think (Isaiah 55:9). He knows what he’s doing. We can trust him.

Today, BE content with what you have (Hebrews 13:5), and BE faithful with the little (talent) you have been GIVEN (Matthew 25:21). HUMBLE yourself under God’s mighty hand, trusting that he will exalt you at the proper time and in the proper way (1 Peter 5:6).

The bottomline is, you and I HAVE to keep SERVING, using our Talents and Gifts to edify The Body of Christ; to show that THIS all-surpassing POWER (talents, gifts, blessings, money, inteligence) Is from God and NOT from us.

A Cursory Look on the Greatness of God

HOW GREAT IS THIS GOD???
I got lost in thoughts, in the middle of a семинар on Ethics one day, at the sight of snowfall. As I beheld birds flying freely flapping their wings, soaring higher and higher, seeming to have no reason to feel cold, not to talk of wearing winter coats to shield them from the harshly cold weather. I asked myself why they never felt the cold, but all I could think of was that, it’s nothing but the splendid display of the awesomeness and diversity of God Almighty.
He who began the beginning, at the beginning of the world, but whose beginning can no one trace. He strategically laid out the earth’s scape, technically fashioned it and leaving it a wonder to man, as no one can ever see its end. He enriched it with all that man could ever ask or think of. As big as the earth seems to us, it’s just His footstool. He mapped out the heavens with His creative arts, and garnished it with the clouds and stars. Have you ever wondered how the heavens stand with no pillars supporting?
Science, they say, is the observation of material phenomena in the universe, and then applying our reason and logic to understanding and controling them. But no matter how logical and high we seem to understand, there can be no scientific proof for God, simply because God is not physical or material, He is spiritual and infinite. He defies logic and beats man's understanding, and of His understanding, no man can search. He, to whom the theories and laws of this earth don’t apply, as He, Himself is the founder of them all. Or how can one probably explain the fact that He walked on water, knowing fully well that His mass was more than that of the water? That defies Archimedes Principle! What explanation is there to give for His turning of five loaves of bread and two fishes into surplus, large enough to feed over five thousand people with twelve baskets of left over. That defies the Theory of Multiple Proportions! Who could give the proof for His turning water into wine without personal contact with the water? That spits in the eye of the Theory of Conservation of Matter! What theory is there to back up His using mud, (which is dirt) to make a blind man see. That defies the basic principles of Opthalmology and Therapeutic Medicine! Humus (or clay) should, naturally make the sight of the man got worse and not the other way round, let alone for His eyes to be opened. His deeds defy logics or human reasoning, because He, Himself is the origin of logics.

He was the first architect, He designed the earth’s structure!
He was the first fashion designer; He designed the first garment ever!
He was the first farmer, He planted the first farmyard!
He was the first electrician, He created light!
He was the first surgeon, He removed one of Adam’s ribs!
He was the creator of linguistics; at the scene of d building of the tower of Babel. He gave the people different kind of languages.
The greatness of God cannot be over-emphasized, quantified or expressed in mare writing, because the understanding of Him is too deep, too high, too wide, too complex for a mortal being to comprehend. He, who after the world seizes to exit, will remain. He who is seated in glory, guarded with praise, clothed with radiance of splendor and righteousness. How big is He?............How high is He?.............How awesome are His works?.......How great is this God???

Havin The Mind Of Christ: SERVICE. (How It Went)

God Spoke through Bro. Joel and here is the message in its untainted form!

It started off with an analogy; an illustration of the story of the two buckets.
Here it goes!

A man walks two miles with two buckets of water on both hands. He walks all the way only to discover the bucket on the right hand delivers almost nothing because it leaks; while the left-sided buckets delivers water in full capacity.

But alas, the leakage on the right-sided bucket had helped flower buds and grass roots to sprout on its path.
The right-sided buckets seeming ‘uselessness or non-worthiness’ had been a great blessing in disguise!

TAKE HOME POINT:
We as Christians shouldn’t see out service to God as Inadequate.
We shouldn’t compare ourselves to others, because God appreciates and sees the smallest strand of our service to Him, even if the world fails to discern it.

A round of Question Drill ensued.

WHY SHOULD I SERVE? :
Service to God is absolute thanksgiving. We serve God as a means of showing our appreciation to Him. MATT 8:14-15
Jesus served. So we as Christ-like entities too should serve.

Okay then.
HOW SHOULD I SERVE?:
We can serve in a plethora of ways. We can serve God with our money; our talents, our skills; out time.

This is THE HOW!

Luke 10:40-41
Illustration: The woman with the Alabaster Box.
The disciples even gave up their career to follow, serve God. THEY served God with their talents; their careers; their wealth.

HOW SHOULD I NOT SERVE?

Don’t serve like the Pharisees; Don’t serve for men to see.
Because if we serve for people to see, we obtain our rewards instantly, so nothing awaits us from God
Here is the illustration of a tree...the roots and leaves are the very visible parts, by which we can determine the well being of the plant, but a great part of the work is also done by the roots. Hence, we should strive to be the roots...

EFFECTIVE YET NOT VISIBLE!

Okayy,,,
WHO SHOULD I SERVE?:
We owe our service first to GOD, after that to man
we are loved by God so we could show love to other people too; our community, the society around us.
Practical examples from the Bible: Jesus feeding the multitude, the Good Samaritan.

Here comes the last DRILL?:
When should I serve?

The time is NOW!

Now is the best TIME!

God Bless you as you Serve!
